Thursday, April 23 — Barcelona (Kick-off)
Home base: Barcelona. We’ll kick off the tour in Barcelona with an orientation-style start: introductions, what to expect, and how to use the trip to evaluate lifestyle fit (not just “what looks pretty on Instagram”).
Friday, April 24 — Barcelona + Day Trip to Girona
Home base: Barcelona. We’ll spend the day in Girona, one of Catalonia’s most beloved small cities—walkable, historic, and very livable. This is a great day for anyone curious about life outside a major metro while still being connected.
Saturday, April 25 — Barcelona + Day Trip to Sitges
Home base: Barcelona. We’ll head to Sitges, a coastal town known for its beach lifestyle, strong community feel, and easy access to Barcelona. You’ll get a feel for what it’s like to live somewhere that feels like a vacation… but functions year-round.
Sunday, April 26 — Travel Day to Valencia (Stop in Cambrils)
Home base: Valencia (arrive and settle in). We’ll travel from Barcelona to Valencia, with a stop in Cambrils along the way. This day is intentionally paced as a transition—stretch your legs, take in a new coastal vibe, and arrive in Valencia ready to explore.
Monday, April 27 — Valencia City
Home base: Valencia. A full day to experience Valencia as a place to live: neighborhoods, walkability, daily life, and the mix of city culture + beach access that makes it a favorite for so many expats.
Tuesday, April 28 — Valencia (Free Day)
Home base: Valencia. A built-in free day—because the best insights come when you have room to explore on your own. Use this day to revisit a neighborhood, go at your own pace, rest, or book a personal appointment (haircut, gym pass, coworking day, etc.) to test what real life might feel like.
Wednesday, April 29 — Day Trip to Dénia
Home base: Valencia. We’ll visit Dénia, a coastal town with a more relaxed pace and strong lifestyle appeal. This is a great contrast day—less “city,” more “Mediterranean daily life.”
Thursday, April 30 — Travel Day to Alicante (Stop in Moraira)
Home base: Alicante (arrive and settle in). We’ll travel south toward Alicante, stopping in Moraira—a smaller coastal community that gives you a peek at a different style of Mediterranean living before we land in our next home base.
Friday, May 1 — Day Trip to Murcia
Home base: Alicante. We’ll explore Murcia, a city that often surprises people—in the best way. It offers a very Spanish lifestyle, beautiful architecture, and excellent value compared to more internationally saturated markets.
Saturday, May 2 — Day Trip to Altea
Home base: Alicante. We’ll visit Altea, known for its iconic old town, sea views, and creative, boutique feel. It’s one of those places that makes people slow down and think: Could I actually live here? Our scouting trips are run in partnership with ExpatsiGo, a world leader in helping Americans discover where to move abroad.
